As winter approaches, vulnerable families across Bangladesh—especially the Rohingya Muslim community living in refugee camps—face harsh cold conditions without the basic protection they need. To ease their suffering, Mawlana Abdur Rashid Social Welfare Association has launched a large-scale Winter Relief Project, distributing thousands of warm blankets to Rohingya refugees and impoverished families in nearby communities.

Bringing Warmth to Those Who Need It Most

The Rohingya camps in Bangladesh are among the most densely populated and underserved refugee areas in the world. During winter, temperatures drop significantly, and families—especially children, the elderly, and widows—are exposed to severe cold with limited access to warm clothing or bedding.

Our team visited multiple camp zones and rural villages to deliver high-quality winter blankets directly to those who need them most. Each blanket distribution is carried out with transparency, proper documentation, and the support of local volunteers to ensure fair and efficient delivery.

Why This Project Matters

            •           Many Rohingya families live in temporary shelters made of bamboo and tarpaulin, which provide little protection from cold winds.

            •           Children and elderly individuals suffer the most, often experiencing illness during winter months.
