Mawlana Abdur Rashid Social Welfare Association
Mawlana Abdur Rashid Social Welfare Association is a Bangladesh-registered nonprofit organization, dedicated to humanitarian service and community development since 2008. For more than a decade, we have been working at the grassroots level to support vulnerable communities across Bangladesh through faith-based, transparent, and impactful humanitarian programs.
Founded on the Islamic principles of compassion (rahmah), charity (sadaqah), and social responsibility, our organization exists to serve people in need—regardless of background—by providing life-saving assistance, dignity, and long-term hope.
Our Mission
Our mission is to alleviate suffering, reduce poverty, and strengthen communities through sustainable humanitarian interventions. We focus on both emergency relief and long-term development, ensuring that immediate needs are met while building resilience for the future.
What We Do
Since 2008, Mawlana Abdur Rashid Social Welfare Association has successfully implemented a wide range of humanitarian and welfare projects, including:
• Safe Water Projects
Construction of water wells to provide clean drinking water and prevent water-borne diseases.
• Food Assistance & Emergency Relief
Distribution of food packages during emergencies, disasters, and for vulnerable families.
• Religious & Charity Programs
Implementation of Kurban (Qurbani), Sadaqah, Adak, and Akika programs with full transparency and proper Islamic guidelines.
• Ramadan & Seasonal Programs
Ramadan food packages, Iftar distribution, and Zakat management to support families during the holy month.
• Infrastructure & Community Development
Construction of mosques, orphanages, madrasahs, and ozukhana (ablution facilities) to support religious education and community life.
• Orphan Care & Sponsorship
Support for orphans through orphan sponsorship programs, education assistance, and basic living support.
Each project is carefully planned, locally implemented, and monitored to ensure that donor contributions reach the intended beneficiaries with maximum impact.
Our Leadership & Governance
The organization is led by Mr. Mohib ULLAH, Chairman of Mawlana Abdur Rashid Social Welfare Association. Under his leadership, the organization has grown steadily, maintaining a strong reputation for integrity, accountability, and effective field implementation.
Our team includes experienced field workers, volunteers, and community leaders who understand local needs and ensure culturally appropriate, efficient service delivery.
